The former affiliate group Schickedanz took the decision to use the revolutionary airlaid technology on industrial hygiene and specific airlaid napkins worldwide already back in 1981. The production began with the installation of the first machine from Denmark in the summer of 1982 in Nurnberg by Schickedanz.
